PRIMARY ROLE:
The Outside Technical Sales Representative (Business Development) is responsible for strengthening relationships with existing customers and developing long-lasting relationships with new customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for sales. Promoting Nelson’s Group of Companies (Nelson Environmental Remediation Ltd., Nelson Environmental Remediation USA Ltd., Malahat Nelson Group, SCG Industries Ltd. and Osprey Scientific Inc. services and solutions through various Business Development mediums and closing contracts with clients. Nelson’s Group of companies are located all throughout Canada.
RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY TASKS
· Developing new business leads
· Offer professional, effective and efficient solutions for customers
· Become an expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up to date on industry news
· Educate client and prospective clients on Nelson Group of companies’ services, products, solutions, new product developments and technical solutions.
· Track Business Development activities and opportunities in CRM software to maintain accurate workload and revenue forecasts.
· Collaborate with internal team members to create success for clients and contribute positively to company culture.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to build relationships and close contracts.
· Exceptional written, verbal and listening communication skills.
· Knowledge to explain complex concepts clearly.
· Ability to plan and organize meetings, strategies, technical presentations and proposals to clients.
· Strong time management and organizational skills.
· Analyze competition to ensure Nelson Group of Companies stays ahead and competitive.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Completion of bachelor’s degree (ideally in civil, environmental engineering science or business)
· Microsoft Office
· CRM software
· 5-10 years experience in business development or technical sales within civil construction or Environmental Remediation industry.
· Experience with client management

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
