2024 Photo Contest CLOSED

The ESAA photo contest has returned. The theme for 2024 is ‘Canadian Landscapes’. Many of us are so busy with life we don’t stop to take in the beauty we see everyday. Remind us how beautiful Canada is. Full details below. Submission deadline – August 2nd, 2024.

Rules, Terms and Conditions

The Environmental Services Association of Alberta (ESAA) invites its members to enter the 2024 ESAA Photo Contest! You must read the following rules, terms, and conditions prior to entering.

Rules

Entries will be judged on technical skill and creativity. Entries should include:

Photographer’s name and member organization
No visible faces and or licence plates in the photo
No self promotion or advertising of members companies

Note: By submitting the photo, the submitter of the photo warrants that he or she is the holder of any and all intellectual property and related rights associated with the photo and, in exchange for participation in this contest, allows ESAA the right to use the submitted photo for any purpose, including future marketing materials.

The ESAA Photo Contest is open to member organizations ONLY.

What to Enter

The theme for this year’s photo contest is “Canadian Landscapes”. Canada is home to some amazing landscapes. From the smallest Village to the big Cities, Canada is beautiful.

Entries will be disqualified that include distinguishable people or images that have been heavily manipulated. It is acceptable to adjust images to achieve a colour balance that reflects the scene as you observed it. Cropping is also acceptable. ESAA has the right to disqualify any image which it feels has been overly altered.

Winning Photo Selection and Prizes

Finalists will be selected by ESAA staff.

From the selected finalists, two winners (First and Second) will be selected via online voting by members.

1st Place – $200 Local Restaurant Gift Certificate – Winners choice
2nd Place – $100 MEC Gift Certificate
3rd Place – $50 Starbucks
The top 12 photos will be included in the second annual ESAA calendar.

Deadlines

Entries will be accepted starting March 1st, 2024. Deadline for submitting entries is August 2nd, 2024. Finalists will be announced in late August. Member voting will begin after the finalists are announced and will end no later than mid-September. The winners will be announced in early October 2024.
