Qualifications
Arletta Environmental Consulting Corp. is seeking an organized and detail-oriented reclamation coordinator or specialist for our Calgary office. Job duties will include reclamation plan development, reclamation site assessments, detailed site assessments, coordination, management and tracking of reclamation field jobs, technical report writing, and reclamation certificate application, including sign off, process development and staff training and mentorship on technical topics. The successful candidate will be at home on a team of environmental scientists and engineers who share a passion for excellence and a vision of successful site closure.
The position will allow for experience and growth to be developed in a variety of land use areas in Western Canada. This role is suited to motivated enthusiastic individuals with a strong technical and field background in site reclamation and coordination, who seek new challenges and experiences. The position will stay open until a suitable candidate is found.

What You’ll Do:
As our Environmental Project Manager, you will take the lead on projects across Western Canada, overseeing everything from scope and budget preparation, to mentoring more junior staff, to coordinating staff and subcontractors. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Design and manage reclamation programs for upstream oil and gas clients. This includes scope & budget development, coordinating field and reporting tasks, cost tracking, implementation of our Health & Safety program, and review of all deliverables.
• Track and manage post-reclamation site progress towards closure.
• Conduct (field and report) Detailed Site Assessments and Reclamation Site Assessments.
• Prepare and sign-off on technical reports and Reclamation Certificate Applications for submission to clients and regulating authorities.
• Staying up-to-date on environmental legislation and regulatory updates.
• Training and mentoring project staff while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Participating in the continuous improvement of our company policies and practices.
• Occasional field work/trips may be required, although this is not a field-based role.
Qualifications:
We are seeking experienced professionals with a degree in Agrology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, or a related field. You should have:
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Western Canada.
• Strong communication, documentation, and technical writing skills.
• Expertise in the Oil & Gas reclamation process and the ability to plan and budget effectively for projects.
• Eligibility for a professional designation from any organization listed in the AER requirements for “Professional Sign Off for Upstream Oil and Gas Reclamation Certificate Work”.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Commitment to Health & Safety practices.
• A desire to learn and grow within the environmental consulting field.
