SUMMIT, An Earth Services Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Summit Decommissioning Services (SDS) team as a Labourer (Competition #21-05-0418). This position will be predominately field work based out of our Brooks, AB office.

You will carry out your duties in consultation with the Field Level Supervisor on all matters. The primary duties may include: Supporting with day to day on-site job tasks, aid in job completion in a safe and efficient manner, organize and assist in loading and mobilizing equipment and tools onto site, operate the internal cutting tool (ICT), perform picker, hoisting and rigging operations, pressure vessel repair/alteration, caisson entry, remove pigging facility from pipeline riser, stringing pipes and shrinking sleeves. You may also be responsible for removal/replacement of PSV’s, manual valve operation, install/removal of bolted/threaded connections, ditching, making ROW, ground excavation with hand tools, pressure piping, trenching and excavating, confined space entry, grinder use, safety reporting, and commitment to all safety requirements and policies.

You will be supported by the entire Summit organization which consists of a dynamic team of technical administrators, business development professionals, and an in-house IT department and many other highly experienced, skilled and educated Professionals.

Candidates must be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary, fast paced project team environment and able to undertake a variety of project related tasks, deadlines and ability to work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions and isolated locations.

• High school diploma or equivalent is a minimum requirement
• Engineering technical diploma or equivalent, is considered an asset
• A minimum of 1 years’ direct experience in Oilfield and Abandonment Services, Oil and Gas, or Energy and Utilities industry is ideal
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract are required
• Ability to take initiative, ownership and work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Possess exceptional understanding of safety processes/tools and hazard recognition
