Human Resources Business Partner

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our collaborative HR team. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. You will work closely with leaders across departments to support and enhance our people-first approach, while bringing a passion for continuous improvement to every aspect of your work.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Director, Human Resources to align HR strategies with business goals.
Drive continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and processes across departments
Collaborate with the HR team to address and resolve operational issues.
Lead the administration of the Total Rewards Program, including compensation, benefits, and recognition initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
Support performance management processes and professional development strategies.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and maintain up-to-date HR policies and manuals.
Provide payroll backup support and act as second-in-command (2iC) to the Director, Human Resources.
About You and Your Qualifications
Strong knowledge of provincial employment legislation across Canada and HR best practices.
8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on generalist roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPHR designation (or in progress), required.
Canadian Payroll experience.
Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems; experience with Dayforce an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A continuous desire for improvement and the ability to manage change; the ability to dig in and find root causes and propose solutions to issues.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and take on new tasks with varying degrees of difficulty.
You have an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
You are organized, adaptable, and have a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work.
