This role includes both business development (office work) as well as project management (fieldwork) The team member work directly with Management to lead Delta’s growth and profitability. There may also be roles in Research and Development Indigenous Engagement and International Business depending upon the skill set and interest of the applicant.
Business Development Responsibilities :
prospecting and sales calls
Presentations and demonstrations
Monitor government, industry and association opportunities
Maintain current business in existing accounts while successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities within these accounts
Secure new customer relationships to increase sales and revenue
Assist in expansion into additional industries
Develop and manage a pipeline of growth opportunities
Collaborate with Management on Marketing and Social Media strategies for territory
Attend Environmental Industry conferences and events
Assisting and learning Bioremediation processes (water transfer & earthworks)
Managing subcontractors and remediation teams
completing quality assurance and delivering QAQC report to clients and management
Running/Supporting Safety meetings
Maintaining safe worksites and procedures
Other fieldwork as required
Ability to pass D&A tests
Clean driving record
Reliable vehicle for getting to work
Critical thinking skills
Preferred Not Required Qualifications:
Oilfield Saftey Tickets (H2S First Aid Ground Disturbance)
BA or higher degree in Business or Science, or equivalent experience
4+ years sales experience
4+ years of Environmental Industry experience
Hands-on Oil and Gas or Environmental or Earthworks Field experience
Oil and Gas safety tickets and courses a plus
Proven track record delivering sales and/or operational results
Self-motivated and able to thrive independently, but also in team environments
Proficient communication, both written and verbal, Ability to present opportunities both in person and over the phone/web
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with CRM, and Project management software
Ability to travel as required, up to 21 days at a time.
Physically fit, able to support physical aspects of fieldwork
Willing to gain experience in the Field
As this is a combined role likely a combination of salary/hourly and commission will be negotiated to create an equitable relationship for both the company and the candidate.
20-60 hours of training will be provided to successful candidates and monetary compensation for training will be provided.
Reasonable phone travel and meal expenses will be covered
Conferences or other events will be compensated on an hourly basis TBD
