SUMMIT, An Earth Services Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Reclamation, Remediation, and Risk Management (RRRM) group as a Project Coordinator (Competition# 22-09-0578) in Calgary, Alberta. This position will report directly to the Project Manager of RRRM.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
The successful candidate will be able to apply their Project Coordinator experience in a multi-disciplinary scope, leading various project scopes throughout the project lifecycle. This role will support a team of dynamic and technical professions on full-cycle administration and coordination for ongoing and pursuant projects. The successful candidate will ensure project deliverables continue to be of highest quality and presented in a timely manner. At Summit, we know that collaboration is essential. JOB DUTIES:
You will carry out your duties in consultation with the Project Manager of RRRM on all matters.
• Apply and manage project workflow in collaboration with field staff, Project Manager(s), and Operational Manager(s)
• Assist the Project Manager with coordinating project resources including but not limited to personnel scheduling, project billing, project updates and communications
• Provide support on small to large reclamation and remediation programs to Environmental Specialists and Environmental Analysts (employees) that have day to day control of the work and field programs
• Report project status including but not limited to:
o spend to date versus budget,
o forecast work scopes, staffing needs (seasonal and permanent), and progress reports, and
o project performance and summaries
• Actively participate in committees and work groups for the development and improvement of templates, work process and implementation of new technology and enhancements
• Encourage an open line of timely communication with the RRRM team, and
• Consult and engage with members of an expert, multi-disciplinary technical team for project support when necessary

You will be supported by the entire Summit organization which consists of a dynamic team of technical administrators, business development professionals, an in-house IT department and many other highly experienced, skilled and educated professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in project management/coordination, environmental consulting, and/or a combination of these experience(s)
• Relevant education, which may include a University degree (BSc or MSc) or a College diploma in Engineering, Ecology, Biology, or Environmental Science
• Registered member in good standing of a recognized applicable Professional Association, including but not limited to AIA, and/or APEGA
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills

The following are considered an asset
• Proficient with Alberta regulations and guidelines related to surface reclamation
• Proficient with Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Guidelines for soil and groundwater;
• Familiar with Risk Management Plans, experienced in using the Subsoil Salinity Tools
• Hydrology, Erosion and Sediment control experience
