Contaminated Sites Client Lead

Environmental Material Science (EMS) is seeking an Environmental Professional with experience in the environmental field, client project management.

The ideal candidate excels in client-facing roles. This hybrid position combines project management, key account management, and sales responsibilities,. You will enjoy working directly with clients and managing projects that achieve client goals for contaminated sites using EMS’s suite of innovative technologies.

Previous environmental field experience and knowledge of environmental contaminated sites work across Western Canada is essential. This is a Calgary office-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management: working with the Director of Business Development to arrange timely meetings with clients, identify the goals / outcomes / opportunities for each project, and defining project details for deployment and field tasks.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
– Understand client needs and provide solutions that align with their goals.
– Clearly outline the site objectives, define EMS Technology applicable to the scope of work and prepare and gain sign off on cost proposal and scope changes. Ensure the cost framework for the technology for each project are updated as needed through the process.
– Develop and follow efficient processes and workflows to enhance project delivery.
– Review, edit and deliver project reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
– Ensure client satisfaction through regular communication and follow-ups.


– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field required.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and/or project management required.
– Proven experience in a client-facing role with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
– Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
– Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
– Sales experience and a track record of achieving targets is a bonus.
– Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
